Returns, Refunds & Exchanges

Refunds are not normally provided where you have simply changed your mind, made a wrong selection or found the goods cheaper elsewhere.

In the event that you find a fault or defect in the goods, you should cease using those goods and contact CAMS.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

CAMS warrants goods purchased from the CAMS Shop to be free of defects for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase of those goods.  You may be entitled to make a claim for a defect in the goods after this period where permitted by the Australian Competition Law.

CAMS will accept product returns and provide you with replacement, refund or repair where:

  • the product is faulty, unsafe or is not of acceptable quality;
  • the product is not fit for its described purpose;
  • the product does not match the sample or our description; and
  • you can supply adequate proof of purchase of the item from CAMS.

CAMS considers adequate proof of purchase to be:

  • an original receipt of purchase; or
  • where a purchase is made online, evidence of the transaction, payment and order details.

In some circumstances, goods presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished goods of the same type rather than being repaired. Refurbished parts may be used to repair the goods.

Where a refund is issued by CAMS, it will be made via the same method of payment used for the original purchase.

Goods returned for repair will be assessed and/or repaired within a reasonable time. You may be provided with an indicative repair time, which time may vary due to reasons beyond ours or the repairer’s reasonable control, such as part availability and incorrect fault description.

You may be required to pay labour, assessment and/or freight fees, such as where goods are assessed to have been damaged by misuse or accident, or where your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or any manufacturer’s warranty do not apply. We may provide you with an indicative fee, which fee may vary due to reasons beyond our control.
